K. Pattabhi Jois (1915–2009) transmitted the six-series Ashtanga Vinyasa system at the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute, Mysuru. A rigorous, breath-linked practice continued today by his grandson R. Sharath Jois and Saraswathi Jois.
