Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇavism, inspired by Caitanya Mahāprabhu (1486–1534 CE) in Bengal, is a tradition of ecstatic devotion to Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa centred on the chanting of the divine names (saṅkīrtana) and the theology of the Bhāgavata Purāṇa.
