The Gheraṇḍa Saṃhitā (c. 17th c. CE) teaches a seven-limbed 'ghaṭastha' yoga — cleansing, posture, mudrā, sense-withdrawal, breath, meditation and absorption — as a step-by-step 'ripening of the body'. It is one of the three classical haṭha manuals.
